Terms of Service
Last updated 17 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Andy Tanu Ciaputra, an individual business operator based in Indonesia, trading as BuzzHoot ("BuzzHoot", "we", "us"). They apply to the BuzzHoot website, web app, API and MCP server (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use BuzzHoot for a company, you confirm you may bind that company, and "you" means the company.
1. The Service
BuzzHoot collects publicly available social media content that matches what you choose to monitor, then classifies and analyses it so you can understand conversation about brands, products and topics. Features vary by plan, as described on our pricing page.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate sign-up information.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account and its workspaces, including by people you invite. Keep your credentials and API keys secret, and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect misuse.
- Workspace admins control membership and permissions for their workspace.
3. Purchases through Creem
Our order process is run by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Creem, who handles checkout, payment, subscriptions, sales tax and VAT, invoices and receipts. Your payment relationship is with Creem, and Creem's own terms apply to the purchase. Charges appear on your statement under Creem's descriptor. Questions about the Service itself come to us.
4. Plans, billing and renewal
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Applicable taxes are added by Creem based on your location.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing or the Creem customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
- Upgrades take effect immediately, with the price difference prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
- If a payment fails, we and Creem will retry it. If it still fails, your workspace may be limited or paused until payment succeeds.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
5. Credits
- Collecting and analysing content uses credits. Different platforms cost different amounts, as shown in the app before you start a collection.
- Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance for each calendar month (UTC). Unused plan credits roll over to the next month only, up to one month's allowance; rolled-over credits do not roll over again.
- Top-up credits you buy separately expire 12 months after purchase.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not refunded when a subscription ends, except as the Refund Policy says.
- When credits run out, collection pauses until you top up or your next allowance arrives.
6. Trials
We may offer a trial. Trial terms (length, credits, features and whether a payment method is needed) are shown when you start it. Unless you cancel before a paid trial converts, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- stalk, harass, intimidate, dox or surveil any individual, or monitor individuals for employment, housing, credit, insurance or law-enforcement decisions;
- infer or profile sensitive characteristics of individuals (such as health, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or political views) for targeting or discrimination;
- break any law, including data protection, privacy, consumer and anti-spam laws;
- resell, redistribute or publish collected data in bulk, or build a competing dataset or product from it;
- attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, security controls or workspace permissions, or access another customer's data;
- overload, probe or disrupt the Service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows;
- upload malware or content that infringes someone else's rights.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the monitoring you set up and for how you use what BuzzHoot shows you.
8. Public data and third-party platforms
- BuzzHoot collects only content that is publicly available. We do not guarantee that collection is complete, real-time or uninterrupted: platforms change, limit or remove access without notice.
- Collected content belongs to its authors and is subject to the platforms' own rules. You may use it for your internal analysis and reporting, and must honour removal requests passed on by us.
- BuzzHoot is not affiliated with or endorsed by X, TikTok, Meta, Google or any other platform. Their names are used only to describe where content comes from.
9. AI features
Classification, summaries, insights and assistant answers are generated with AI models and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review them before relying on them for important decisions.
10. Your content and our rights
- You keep ownership of the content you add (campaign settings, labels, notes, reports). You give us the rights we need to host and process it to run the Service for you.
- We keep all rights in the Service, its software and design. These terms give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription.
- If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
11. API and MCP access
API keys and AI-assistant connections act with the permissions of the workspace that created them and use that workspace's credits. Keep them secret and revoke any you no longer need. We may rate-limit or suspend access that harms the Service.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep BuzzHoot available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may perform maintenance. We may add, change or remove features; if we remove a material paid feature, we will give reasonable notice.
13. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails to pay, or puts the Service, other customers or third parties at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- After closure you can ask us for an export of your workspace content within 30 days. We then delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of collected or generated data.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
You will compensate us for claims and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Service or of data obtained through it.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We will first try to settle any dispute informally; contact us and we will respond within 30 days. If it cannot be settled, it will be resolved by the District Court of Tangerang (Pengadilan Negeri Tangerang), unless consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you may cancel before then.
